1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Shruti (“the Service”) at shrutiapp.com or via the Shruti desktop application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Shruti. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Shruti is an AI-powered meeting transcription and summarization service designed for bilingual professionals. The Service captures system audio, transcribes speech across multiple languages (including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu alongside English), and generates structured meeting summaries.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Shruti. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

4. Subscription and Pricing

4.1 Plans

Shruti offers the following subscription plans:

  • Individual Plan — $19/month: Unlimited meetings, Hindi/Tamil/Telugu + English transcription, AI summaries and action items, 30-day archive, WhatsApp share
  • Team Plan — $59/month (up to 5 users): Everything in Individual, shared meeting archive, team-level search, admin dashboard
  • Annual billing: 20% discount applied when billed annually

4.2 Founding Member Offer

The first 100 waitlist members who subscribe at launch will receive a discounted rate of $9/month for the first 3 months on the Individual plan. This offer is limited and non-transferable.

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

5. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at team@shrutiapp.com.

Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
  • Your meeting data is accessible until the subscription expires
  • Data is deleted 90 days after subscription expiry

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all new subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of your paid subscription, contact us at team@shrutiapp.com for a full refund, no questions asked.

After 30 days, refunds are issued at our discretion for documented technical failures on our part. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months on monthly plans.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Shruti to:

  • Record meetings without the consent of all participants (where legally required)
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit harmful, harassing, or illegal content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI model or source code
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service
  • Use the Service to train competing AI models

Consent to record: You are solely responsible for obtaining any legally required consent from meeting participants before using Shruti. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Check your local laws.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you generate using Shruti — including transcripts and summaries created from your meetings.

Shruti retains all rights to the Service, including the software, AI models, interface, and brand. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT TRANSCRIPTIONS WILL BE 100% ACCURATE.

Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, background noise, and speaking clarity. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated transcripts or summaries.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHRUTI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.
